Thanks to thousands of hours of informercials over the years, Kevin Trudeau is a familiar face to anyone who watches television.
He is the author of a bestselling book (”Natural Cures ‘They’ Don’t Want You to Know About”) and has made millions of dollars through various business dealings. But more than anything else, he is a fraud.
He’s a liar, a con-man, and a snake-oil salesman.
Here are five reasons that you shouldn’t trust anything he says and why you shouldn’t spend a dime on anything he is involved with:
1) He Posed As A Doctor To Pass False Checks
In 1990, Kevin Trudeau pleaded guilty to depositing $80,000 in worthless checks. In the sentencing memorandum, prosecutors said he impersonated a doctor when he met with bank officials. His explanation for the fraud was that he was just joking about being a doctor.
2) He Used His Customers’ Credit Cards
Trudeau used the credit cards of eleven customers of his “Mega Memory” product to fraudulently charge approximately $122,735.68. He spent two years in federal prison because of this conviction. His excuse was that the whole situation was due to a series of math errors that were compounded by the “mistake” of a bank official.
3) He Ran An Illegal Pyramid Scheme
Kevin Trudeau partnered with Jules Leib, a former cocaine dealer who he met in prison, to operate an illegal pyramid scheme for a multilevel marketing company called Nutrition for Life. In 1996, the state of Illinois sued both Trudeau and Lieb. Trudeau ended up settling with Illinois and seven other states and agreed to stop operating the pyramid scheme.
4) He Never Admits That He Has Done Anything Wrong
Kevin Trudeau has been sued by various government entities over the years and they have all ended the same way. The state accepts a large payment from Trudeau, often for millions of dollars, and in exchange Trudeau is not forced to admit to any wrongdoing.
While this leads to extra money for the government, it’s an extremely poor way to punish a snake-oil salesman like Kevin Trudeau. Trudeau continues to brush off criticism by proclaiming that he has never been proven to be misleading people. In fact, he has turned it into a marketing gimmick by telling potential customers that the government is “out to get him”.
Despite filing multiple lawsuits over the years, the government is largely to blame for Trudeau continuing to rip people off. The settlements are always for far less than the profits that Trudeau receives from selling his sham products. Occasional government penalties are simply written off by Trudeau as operating expenses for his business.
5) He Has Repeatedly Made False & Misleading Claims
This is at the heart of everything. Here are just a few of the claims that Kevin Trudeau has made over the years:
- He claimed to have created a hair farming system that would finally end baldness in the human race.
- He said he found a scientific breakthrough that in 60 seconds can eliminate addictions.
- He claims that there are twelve known cures for cancer but that they are being kept from the general public by the FDA, the FTC, and the pharmaceutical companies.
- He attributed positive quotes about his products to people who have only negative things to say about him and his products.
- He has sold multiple books claiming that they contained “natural cures”. They didn’t and instead referred people to a paid subscription website. A classic con man bait-and-switch.
- The back cover of one of his books included a quote from Dr. Herbert Ley, a former commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Ley died three years before the book was written.
The list could go on and on. The only thing more ridiculous than his claims are the rationalizations he throws out when they are challenged.
The bottom-line is that Kevin Trudeau is an evil person and it’s a travesty that he continues to be able to sell his sham products and books to the world.
Blaming the people who buy his products is tempting, but it’s ultimately a counter-productive way of thinking.
It only deflects scorn that is properly directed at Trudeau himself.
I’ll end the post with a few complaints from people that Trudeau has scammed. These complaints are excerpted from TheRipOffReport.com:

We returned the books in October 2007 and to date (January 2008) has not been reimbursed for them. Naturally he slithers from one location to another so you can’t send anything to him to question this.
I can’t believe the Federal Government has allowed him to prey on the elderly like this. He should be thrown in prison and then throw away the key!

If he has been sanctioned/fined by the govt-FTC and other parties, why is he still able to operate these scamjobs? Damn, Kevin Trudeau! Not a phony doctor scam? I thought he looked familiar. And how silly to swap Debt for Natural. The debt cure book is pretty lame and he gets rich off the book, the upsell and the shipping charges, etc. You can’t get to the order without 10 minutes of add-on crap. I wouldn’t be surprised if weren’t making money off the toll charges!

Well, I have read several of the commentaries on how KT is a sham and I want to tell you something about his “Natural Cures” books. It is everything it has said it out to be and more. I have practiced everything he has written in these books with regards to my health and they absolutely work. The fact of the matter is, KT is really exposing the truth about the big corporations, the government, the entities that control your health and so on so forth.
The fact of the matter is that he has stated that the FTC and FDA has censored his freedom of speech by not letting him name products in his first book, with regards to health supplements. What I realized about most people who have purchased his books, is that THEY FAIL to read it from the first page to the last page and that is why they say it is a sham. If people in the USA can be a little more discerning about which is the truth and which is not, they wouldn’t find themselves in the predicament that they are in!!
If the brainwashed masses could only see a glimpse of the truth, many of you will realize that the real scammers are the governments of the world and the corporations. They take a lot of our money in various forms of taxes and user fees and give very little back in return. And this is what KT exposes to the imbeciles who cannot decipher their asses from a hole in the ground. Read carefully before you judge!!!
KT has seen first hand what the nonsense the governments of the world does because he was a part of their society at one point of his life. Now that he is exposing these corrupt associations and individuals, he is being personally attacked by smear media type of tactics.

Kevin is a very interesting case. I am into natural remedies so I was curious as to what he has to say. I read the first book, with a grain of salt, and noticed that many remedies I was already aware of just from doing a simple search on the internet. A lot of them are absolutely true. Colon cleansing will greatly improve just about everybody’s general health, as will sugar ilimination, and getting excess yeast under control. However, I have a difficult time trusting an ex con. He openly states in one of his books, that he served time, but made the excuse that he belonged to a “Big Brother” type secret society that put him there to gain “inside information”. Could be true, but it sure reeks of psychological condition to me, as does the statement that he has seen a top secret compound containing…a spaceship and dead bodies of aliens! See my point? It is absolutely true that medications are killing people and we need to go back to nature to prevent and treat disease (I’ve had personal experience with both and nature wins hands down). To his credit, Kevin does state that we all should see a licensed health care practitioner to help diagnose our ills. But as for hair farming and other claims…some of them just sound too good to be true. Anyone can find a market that people believe in or that could be a “last hope” situation, and twist and exaggerate TRUTHS for profit. Don’t let him scam you out of money. Get his books from the library and do internet searches on the things that interest you. Most of the basic information and tried and true cures are available for free through countless sites. The information on naturalcures.com is only accessible through a SUBSCRIPTION. Only you can decide if it’s worth the money to trust a guy who freely admits to stealing, lying, and cheating!

Anyone who has ever read or seem anything the Kevin Tudeau has produced and still gave him their money deserves what they get. I am not surprised that the government fails to protect society from this professional con-artist but you can’t rely on anyone or anything to protect you but your own good sense. This man is a sociopathic CLOWN. He enjoys entertaining people with his BS and believes a great deal of what he sells to people. That makes him particularly dangerous. Plenty of people have found out about being adopted and did not go on to steal from the public using mass media! This man is a convicted felon who began his adult life making a living by stealing money from other people. That makes him a paracite. Wonder if there is a “natural cure” for Kevin Tudeau? I am thinking consecutive sentences for grand larcency so that he spends the rest of his time clowning around in prison should cure the Keven Trudeau infection.

I Can only say the me and my husband have bought his books, natural cures and the weight loss book. They have helped tremdously, especially the weight loss book. I lost 30 lbs in 30 days, my hubb 50lbs in 34 days. And we feel great. so far everything we cann afford to do works.

You totally got some some what right information, but what you have claimed here is kinda off from the real story.
First the “claim” he was a doctor was a joke before his seminars, they try to do something about this but was immediately thrown out.
From his own mouth Ive heard about his prison sentence and it wasn’t because he stole credit cards from customers. He was off doing his Mega Memory courses and ended up with some kind of credit issue so he re-applied for a credit card and changed his Social Security and one other thing in his application.
He admitted guilty and paid back the money even before they caught him. But one thing you didn’t realize is that Kevin started on his real path of exposing the government and the corruption they had in Prison. He sued the department of corrections for there mistreatment of the prisoners and won and has helped many who are caught in the system.
He then after that he was attacked by the FDA/FTC for something he said, in that something else great happened from that, his response was creating “Natural Cures “They” Dont Want You To Know” and won his case over them, thusly creating a victory for the American people.
He has admitted his faults but your pulling the string in directions that’s not so. — Perhaps you should take a look at his new organization http://www.possiblecash.com - take a look at that and tell me again he isn’t for the progression of human kind.

Here’s the whole idea in a nutshell. Everything Kevin Trudeau says is absolutely, categorically, 100% true. Trust me, I have experienced MIRACLES (as an understatement) from his information. What has physically happened to my body is beyond imagination. The drug companies, governments worldwide and all the governing agenencies, absolutely, categorically do NOT want you to know what information he is revealing. For years, he was part of an elite organization where, again in a nutshell, all truth regarding health, wealth, hapiness and science in general was kept ultimately secret. The main reason (in a nutshell) is to keep the controlling elite, in control. The main way through this is through money. As long as you have money and control money, that puts you at the top of the hierarchy, and gives you massive power and control. This is what they want, and where they want to stay. Some of the controlling elite control pharmaceutical drug companies. Can you imagine what would happen to the industries, if natural cures for diseases started being used on a mass scale? They would diminish over time! Part of the controlling Elite would diminish! Their PROFITS would plummet! He left his society of elite in 1999, and shortly after started coming out with the amazing, shocking truth. ALL of the websites and sources that DEBUNK Kevin Trudeau, are actually coming from the same people. About 3-5 groups of people that pose as dozens or hundreds of sources, just to make him look even more iffy. So you bet this is one of them. Let me just briefly and generally disect these totally false statements and facts:
1. Where is the proof of him depositing $80,000 in worthless cheques? Is there a video of him pleading guilty? How do we know this is not a complete lie? Who are you listening to?
2. Who are the customers that had their cards illegally charged? Is there videos of them stating that they we’re ripped off? Who are these people? Did you know that mega-memory was released in 1989, and it has sold over $450 million worth of product? and Prior to that, he has already made hundreds of millions on the low end and billions on the high end? Where would his motive and incentive be to rip a dozen people off, for a measly 100 something thousand dollars, and spend 2 years in prison? Has anybody heard the REAL story of why he was in prison, and that he wasn’t actually really doing his time in the prison itself?
3. This one just makes me laugh. So many multi-level companies have been sued for the exact same reasons. Anybody heard of Amway? They were sued illegally, nutrition for life was sued illegally. Kevin did not start this company, he joined as a regular distributor like anybody else. Why was it him who was sued? He just created a fortune, because over 200,000 people joined under his organization, and together, they sold over $250 million in product! He MADE many people MILLIONAIRES! What’s so bad about this man? Later, he sold his equity!
4. No, do you know what actually happens? When the agencies are sueing him, at the end, THEY are forced to conclude that “There was no finding of any wrongdoing for Mr. Trudeau!” Don’t you think they would’ve actually got him in jail by now, if what he was selling was false? OF COURSE!!! Gee…Can’t you see it people?
5. You have to remember one thing to start. Everything that Trudeau claims is NOT his claim. In his life, he has travelled over 5 million miles to over 60 countries, and interviewed over 5,000 medical doctors from all areas of medicine. Everything that he has found, is 100% based on the the information and evidence provided by THESE doctors, scientists and researchers. He is a journalist reporting this information. So he is not “claiming” this. He is agreeing with these statements, and he is TELLING you that this is the absolute truth because he has seen the evidence himself, seen thousands of people cured, and knows that the controlling elite wants to keep this a secret because he was a part of the group for years! He is telling you the truth because NO ONE ELSE WILL! What people have negative things to say about his products? You can’t tell me that $450 million dollars in sales for a memory program = unsatisfied customers. You can’t tell me that the greatest selling health book of all time (Natural Cures “They” Don’t Wan’t You To Know About) has negative reviews? You can’t tell me that the most read Non-Fiction author of all time is misleading the public!!! Do you think these people are idiots? I’ve read personally hundreds of positive comments from Trudeau’s products and information. I can assure you that any negative comment on him, his products or his information is one of the following: A falsely produced comment. Someone who read the information, THOUGHT it was bullcrap and never tried it at all, and wrote a negative comment. Someone who tried some of the protocols and did them INCORRECTLY. Lastly, someone who may have possibly been paid to say negative things about Trudeau publicly. Why don’t you avoid all of the controversy, and go try some of the things yourself? You won’t be disappointed. Besides, what’s to lose? Probably your Cancer or Diabetes! His Natural Cures books contain all the information you need! kevin trudea is dangerous and should be in jail. he gives people with real illnesses false hope and these are the sort of people who should be protected no exploited. people who are a target because they have done everything else they can to find a cure and so they feel like they have hope when they see some one like kevin trudea. i should know. you guys have no idea what it’s like to be told you have only months to live because your cancer is spreading all over your body and the doctors can’t do anything. and then to see this guy on tv that is telling you all the people you have trusted to help you are liars so you buy the book and when it doesn’t work you feel broken and helpless. it’s terrible. he should not only be arrested he should be eliminated from this earth. an eye for an eye really.

well i did get his book on Debt cures and although most of the stuff in it is just common sense, some of it really did work !.. In 10 minutes after reading the book i got my credit card company to lower my APR from 19.9% to 10.5% in addition to double my credit line AND they knocked off $1000 of my balance !!… Kev you’re the best! One thing I’d like to comment on is that weightloss program fast can be performed by the right diet and exercise. A person’s size not just affects the look, but also the general quality of life. Self-esteem, depressive disorder, health risks, and physical abilities are impacted in excess weight. It is possible to do everything right and still gain. In such a circumstance, a problem may be the reason. While a lot food but not enough work out are usually to blame, common health conditions and trusted prescriptions can easily greatly increase size. Kudos for your post in this article.

I learned about Kevin Trudeau a year ago. I was always into natural cures and what I read made sense so I put some things he recommended into practice. They worked. I put some more of his recommendations into practice and they worked. I used to be on meds for high blood pressure and cholesterol and now both are in the healthy range and I am on no meds. I have also lost 40 lbs using some of what he recommends.
People WAKE UP. TURN OFF THE TV. KEEP IT SIMPLE. LOSE THE HATE. EMBRACE THE LOVE.If it makes sense to you and it feels good do it. It not move on.

I read the book on health and have to agree with Trudeau that everything he says about health the medics and big drug companies is true,Having studied naturopathy for many years I know it works over allopathic medicine,As for his revelations about the government I do not doubt it and often suspected they are corrupt.As for his him I cannot vouch for

I got a lab test done recently and the doctor said I had a vitamin D and B12 deficiency. I asked her to write me a prescription for it because my health-care (in Canada) would cover the costs for this prescription.

Tell ya what, if you’re actually taking both sides with a grain of salt and still on the fence about who to believe and you’re not so close-minded and brain-washed as 90% of the population is, and want to make up your own mind based on your own research/experience/results, and if you can afford to INVEST (risk of profit/loss) then do what I did (to make up my mind for myself) and just sign up to the NaturalCures.com website for ONE MONTH (a little less than $10) and go through ALL the content in there, download as much of it as you can, and then cancel!
ALL the content on there has been made available to download, which many information/content-based sites DON’T allow you to do.
Also, what I did was purchase (for a $3.95 fee) a $25 pre-loaded Visa giftcard (the lowest amount for visa-giftacards - I do that for all online purchases I’m unsure about, because once it runs out, it can’t be charged any more, and can’t affect my credit in anyway). And so far no unscrupulous activity on it.
So if you really want to find out for yourself if you’re still on the fence about it, I suggest you do just that.
The website has all the really meaty, really useful info anyway, and it’s so much more than just information. There’s an Ask The Doctor section, there’s a community aspect to the site which I think is really amazing and totally worth the $10/m alone, there’s a Find A Naturopathic Doctor Near You section, there’s even a Find An Organic Restaurant Near You section, plus a LOT of other REALLY USEFUL / REALLY HELPFUL sections to that website. IMO, it should be at least $30 or $40 per month, and I would still gladly pay that amount.
I know it may sound like I’m affiliated with the site or KT in some way some how, BUT I AM NOT. I’m just an avid natural-health/longevity enthusiast, and I speak just as highly of KT as I do David Wolfe! (That’s another thing, all you naysayers should check out David Wolfe too if you’re too dumb to listen to KT has t say but still want to find out this TYPE of information. DW is probably considered the WORLD’s leading longevity expert… And he charges A LOT more for his info than KT does, but he’s a really cool guy; unlike a lot of you sheeple morons).

Oh BTW, I’ve suffered from moderately-severe acne and eczema for over 15 years and have tried EVERYTHING the doctors have prescribed for my eczema (I would NEVER take Accutane; ironically now I’m seeing commercials of law firms that suing the makers of Accutane for all the DEATHS and severe side-effects it’s caused… how many other “safe” prescription drugs just like that have there been that were FDA approved, but then get pulled and class-action sued because of their side effects that caused tens of thousands or MILLIONS of mass-deaths?!?!?!?).
Nothing I took for eczema ever worked. NOTHING.
Eczema SUCKS, it’s HORRIBLE, I would try ANYTHING they told me to take or do. NOTHING THEY SAID/PRESCRIBED EVER WORKED.
After listening to and reading the sections about acne, eczema, psoriasis, and general skin conditions at the NaturalCures.com website, I went out and bought a few items (I could only afford about 20% of the suggestions that were recommended to help my particular skin conditions), and after applying just some of those remedies, my eczema was *NEARLY*GONE* (which even that amount was a HUGE relief; I had NEVER experienced such relief like that EVER) *the*NEXT*DAY*, and completely cleared within ONE WEEK.
The doctors have always told me that eczema is incurable… well thanks to the info I found at KT’s website (for mere peesly little $10-15ish) I’ve obviously proved them wrong. I have NEVER in all my life been rid of eczema, until recently… BECAUSE I spent a few bucks to become a member of his website (which is where all the really good content is, simply for the fact that, as Joe above stated, “The fact of the matter is that he has stated that the FTC and FDA has censored his freedom of speech by not letting him name products in his first book, with regards to health supplements.” which is WHY all the really useful/actionable[best] content could ONLY be published at his website on the internet, and could NOT be published in his books!!!… Gah, FOOLS!)

Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favourite justification seemed to be at the internet the easiest factor to take into account of. I say to you, I definitely get irked whilst other people think about issues that they just do not understand about. It makes me laugh that those that slander KT for his work are those that are still sick, stupid or broke!! Hahaha
I’m a GIN member and have learned a great deal from KT’s site and materials - some of it I already found many years ago but didn’t have the passion to put it into place, and as a result, I was a loser!
Now, I own 4 businesses, live abroad and work just 15 hours a week - no BS! And I not only make a great living, but I’m enjoying my life to the full! All because I get the motivation I need from GIN and Kevin Trudeau.
Who cares what he did in the past? He paid the price! And that’s a fact he is happy to admit!
All the losers out there that still regurgitate his past like a McDonald’s happy meal, you really need to take the plank out of your own eye before looking at the splinter in his!

Kevin Trudeau is a scam artist. Don’t be taken in by the fake posters. Just because they type 4 pages worth doesn’t mean it is real. A quick internet search shows just how much of a scam artist he is. Please stop giving him your hard earned money, nothing in life is free (except the money you give to kevin trudeau)
